A 10-year-old girl was gang-raped and killed at Dogachhi village in Kamarkhanda upazila in Sirajganj on Wednesday night.
The victim was identified as Murshida Khatun, daughter of Noor Mohammad of the village, was a class-III student of a local primary school.
Police said Murshida went out of the house on Wednesday afternoon and since then she was missing.
Local people found the body of Murshida in front of the house of Anwar Hossain of the village this morning and informed police.
Officer in-Charge of Kamarkhanda Police Station Monirul Islam told The Daily Star that the criminals hurled acid on Murshida and tortured her to death after gang rape.
The body was sent to Sirajganj Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.
